Francis J. Aquila

Frank has advised on deals totaling more than $1 trillion in value, including advising on more than $150 billion in 2015 and more than $100 billion in 2019. He has been called upon by leading companies such as Amgen, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Biohaven Pharmaceuticals, Canadian Pacific, Diageo, Kering, Kraft, Novartis, United Rentals, etc., to advise them and their boards of directors on M&A, corporate governance, ESG, activism, proxy contests and a range of corporate matters.


Tracy A. Bacigalupo

Tracy focuses her practice on corporate, M&A, and corporate governance matters. She represents both public and private acquirers and target companies, as well as special committees, in M&A transactions, including negotiated mergers, divestitures, and other collaborations involving both strategic investors, private equity and venture capital firms.


Sid focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and emerging company/venture capital transactions. He represents public and private companies, private equity firms, and investment and hedge funds in an array of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, fund formation, and general corporate matters across multiple industries. He also regularly represents founders and investors in a variety of emerging company transactions. As the Vice-Chair of Reed Smith's Global Corporate Group, Sid guides strategies of more than 300 attorneys, provides leadership and mentoring to attorneys at all stages of their careers.

David Blittner

David has over 30 years of experience, advising private equity sponsors in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. He has deep experience steering leveraged buyouts and dispositions of public and private companies, minority investments, public recapitalizations and restructurings. He also represents clients on general corporate matters, including governance, equity capital markets liquidity events and securities law compliance matters.


S. Todd Crider

Todd concentrates primarily on transactions in Latin America and Spain and speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French. He advises clients in international corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and project finance. Todd is admitted to practice law in New York and authorized as a foreign legal consultant by the São Paulo Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil – São Paulo).


Ryan is managing partner of the Firm’s St. Louis office and a co-leader of the Firm’s Sports and Entertainment Group. He is a transactional and business lawyer who represents public and private company clients, sports teams, owners, players, and sponsors with a particular focus in the financial services and sports and entertainment industries.


Patrick advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances and other significant matters. He has extensive experience representing companies, private equity sponsors and venture funds in complex multimillion-to-multibillion-dollar transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures, and financings across a broad range of industries.


Douglas A. Doetsch

Doug is a member of the firm's Banking & Finance practice and his transactional work involves asset and stock acquisitions, real estate investments, and cross-border joint ventures. He advises clients on infrastructure financings in the port, airport and road sectors, acquisition and other leveraged lending transactions, and structured credit transactions. He is also a leader in cross-border securitization transactions, especially future cash flow securitizations. In his cross-border work, Doug also regularly advises on emerging market debt restructuring and debt exchange offers. In addition, his transactional work involves asset and stock acquisitions, real estate investments, and cross-border joint ventures.

Manuel Garciadiaz

Manuel has worked on many of the most significant cross-border M&A, capital markets, project finance, and debt restructurings transactions in Latin America. In M&A, he advises both acquirers and target companies. His notable clients have included Banco Credito del Peru, Cosan, Natura, Patria, Santander, Vinci Partners and XP.


Matthew J. Gilroy

Matthew represents acquirors, targets, boards of directors, special committees, investment banks and investors in complex domestic and cross border M&A across multiple industries, including for clients such as: Eli Lilly; Kroger; Jefferies; Sanofi; Willis Towers Watson; and Brookfield. He also counsels’ clients on range of corporate, governance and securities matters.
