What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
It’s a dynamic, exciting industry and the learning curve never flattens. I wanted to be at the forefront of the action, learn about new businesses, and facilitate consensus to achieve successful transactions.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Diversity provides perspective, the experience of seeing through different lenses. Perspective helps a dealmaker to achieve accord in the face of divergence, and to effectively lead others to common ground.
Most memorable deal I worked on....
....was a high-profile deal that a more senior colleague claimed I couldn’t handle and tried to take for himself, but he was wrong and too late because I had just gotten it successfully signed and publicly announced!
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Experience is the best teacher. Embrace complex situations. Extend beyond your comfort zone.
