What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I worked in public accounting (CPA) prior to attending law school. Having that financial background naturally lent itself to transactional law when I decided upon a career as a lawyer.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Any process is enhanced when multiple perspectives are represented and heard. People from different backgrounds provide a wider array of solutions to potential issues that any deal may encounter.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
A sale of a radiology platform. We overcame a motion for an injunction to stop the deal and closed 48 hours later.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Be an expert in your field, but remember that expertise is assumed. Invest in people and relationships. That is the differentiator.
