Published exclusively by Global M&A Network, the 10th annual list profiles a highly respected and successful group of 50 lawyers from the Americas mergers and acquisitions communities. Over 108 firms and 621 lawyers were evaluated per eligibility standards for the current A-list.

Dave serves as general counsel for his clients, managing their legal issues across all the firm’s practice areas. He leverages more than 20 years of experience, counseling them in a broad range of business opportunities including, business entity formation and structuring, corporate governance, supply chain management, loan transactions, real estate matters, commercialization of intellectual property assets and the review, drafting and negotiation of all forms of business contracts.

Award Winner: Dave was awarded the prestigious “USA M&A Lawyer of the Year” (Washington DC) and separately the firm recently won deal accolade for sale - Jackson Healthcare® acquisition of LRS Healthcare® at the Americas M&A Atlas Awards (New York).


David has over 35 years of experience representing companies across a variety of industries in mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt financings, and other strategic and financing transactions. His M&A experience includes cross-border transactions involving clients based in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as transactions in the life sciences, software, hardware, semiconductor and digital entertainment industries.

Award Winner: Several transactions advised by David have won the prestigious M&A Atlas Awards, including most recently the Clif Bar & Company in its $2.9B acquisition by Mondelez.


Michael G. O’Bryan

Mike advises on U.S. and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions, including “going private” and other related-party transactions. He has advised companies, boards, and special committees, as well as investment banks, in both negotiated and contested transactions.


Jason Osborn

Jason focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and SPAC transactions. He has extensive experience representing well-known financial firms in a variety of complex transactions and business development strategies.


Rama Padmanabhan

Rama focuses her practice on all types of public and private M&A and cross-border transactions, with an emphasis on Asia. She has extensive experience with SPAC M&A transactions, reverse mergers, joint ventures, navigating IPO/M&A dual-track processes, and other complex transactions. She is a market leader in life sciences, biotech and medical device transactions.


Robert J. Pile

Bob focuses on business transactions and strategic relationships with an emphasis on acquisition and disposition transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, and strategic agreements. Bob also works with clients on organizational structuring and governance matters.


Steven G. Scheinfeld

Steven advises clients in various industries in connection with public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, financings, and complex strategic partnerships.


Ram has an industry-leading multidisciplinary practice advising clients on complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, tax equity and project finance transactions, project development, as well as structured commodity hedge transactions across the electric energy, oil and gas, transmission and storage, carbon capture, mining and metals, and natural resource industries.

Award Winner: Ram advised on Energy Power Partners sale of landfill natural gas facilities to NextEra Energy Resources, winning deal accolade at the prestigious Americas M&A Atlas Awards (New York).


Jonathan H. Talcott

Jon currently chairs the securities practice. He has previously chaired the corporate and transactional group and served as managing partner of the Washington, D.C. office.


Krishna Veeraraghavan

Krishna focuses his practice on a range of corporate matters and has extensive experience advising public and private companies on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and other transactions. He also regularly advises boards of directors and special committees on activist defense, proxy contests and the full range of corporate governance matters.
