Ron has over 34 years of transaction experience and is responsible for leading the middle market M&A investment banking group as well as actively managing transactions, business development, and private equity coverage. He has completed 140 merger and acquisition and public and private financing assignments which represent nearly $10 billion of transaction value. Mr. Miller is past recipient of the prestigious “M&A Leadership” in Boutique Investment Banker category at the USA M&A Atlas Awards.


John Momtazee

John serves as the Global Head of Media Investment Banking and leads the Global Blockchain Group. He has advised and financed many of the largest, most sophisticated media clients across the diversified media, blockchain technology, television, radio, newspapers, magazines, digital media, video games, entertainment, publishing and outdoor advertising sectors.


Steven Moon

Steve leverages over 25 years of M&A and corporate finance experience assisting private equity firms, public corporations and private company clients with mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, debt and equity financings, and strategic alternative reviews. In particular, he focuses on aerospace, defense and industrials M&A and corporate finance mandates.


John has served in a variety of leadership positions during his 20-year tenure at Harris Williams. As Co-Chief Executive Officer, he is accountable for the strategic direction, life, and performance of the firm. Additionally, John co-leads the Consumer Group at Harris Williams where he has extensive experience working with clients across the consumer services, consumer products, consumer multi-site, and food and beverage sectors.


Joseph T. Packee

Joe has worked in investment banking at Baird for 20 years. He has deep experience in public and private company equity, debt and M&A transactions and strategic advisory assignments within the global industrial sector. Prior to joining Baird, Joe was an accountant at Deloitte and Touche, LLP.


Stephen helps clients position their businesses, structure acquisitions, and divestitures, run targeted strategic processes, and raise capital. Over the course of his nearly three-decade career, he has led M&A deals, business operations, and capital markets and investment banking solutions—a unique range of experience that gives him multifaceted perspectives on strategic business events. Stephen was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CounterPoint Capital Partners prior to joining Palm Tree.


Byron Roth

Byron served as a Chairman and CEO prior to ROTH Capital’s recent acquisition of MKM Partners (February 2023). Under his management, the firm has helped raise over $100 billion for small-cap companies, as well as advised on many merger and acquisition transactions. He has extensive record of advising on variety of transactions, most recently the M&A Atlas Awards winning transaction - Playboy Enterprises combination with Mountain Crest Acquisition Corp. He is also a past recipient of the “M&A Leadership” top honors at the M&A Atlas Awards.


Brendan Ryan

Brendan joined Raymond James in 2009 and within the firm’s Technology & Services group, he is responsible for covering the Financial Technology and Application Software sectors. Prior to joining Raymond James, he was a vice president at Lane, Berry & Co., which was acquired by Raymond James.


John V. Soden

John focuses on Medical Technologies, including medical devices and device-related independent service organizations, life science tools/reagents, diagnostic products and lab services. He has 27 years of investment banking experience, primarily focused on private and public company M&A. Before joining Cain Brothers in 2016, he was a Managing Director & Head of Medical Technologies at Houlihan Lokey.


Jason has over 23 years of experience providing strategic advice for public and private companies as they contemplate change of control situations. He has advised and executed on broad range of transactions, including strategic buy sides, take-privates, hostile transactions and defense, sponsor-back broad and targeted auction processes, recapitalizations and carve outs. Jason joined in July 2010 in connection with Stifel's acquisition of Thomas Weisel Partners, where he was in the Tech M&A group for over a decade.
