Patrick has an incredibly diverse practice that includes complex transactional, litigation, and advisory work primarily in corporate restructuring, He has extensive experience representing trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, official and ad hoc creditors’ committees, debtors, and other parties in state and federal court proceedings and out-of-court workouts. Recently, Patrick and the team from Robinson+Cole served as legal advisor to Tribe 9, LLC, a certified B Corp., in the Carla’s Pasta, LLC Chapter 11 case; Carla’s sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February 2020 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut to effectuate a sale of assets. Tribe 9 was identified as the stalking horse bidder and ultimately deemed the prevailing bidder after a competitive auction, enabling Tribe 9 to expand its gluten-free, grain-free and vegan pasta offerings. The deal was awarded the “Food & Beverage Restructuring Deal of the Year” at the 14th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards.
What Patrick values about his career… The diversity of experiences that accompany a practice in corporate restructuring and bankruptcy, including mentoring and assisting in the development of young lawyers. Also, central to my practice and career are giving back to the community, both through pro bono work and governmental and not profit board service.
