What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I love the life cycle of a deal, from the possibility of a sale to the negotiation and execution of a definitive agreement, to the closing and post-closing transaction matters.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Diversity enhances creativity and makes us better advocates. Bringing together people of different backgrounds fosters ideas or perspectives that others may not have considered, adding value to the deal-making process.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
Sale of a long-haul services provider to a multinational delivery services company in 2006. It was extremely challenging because it was structured as a sale of assets not stock.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Focus on your relationships. Build strong, supportive relationships with others in the industry. You never know where your next referral will come from.
