What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
Being willing to pivot professionally multiple times in the first 10 years of my career until I found an area of the law that I was passionate about.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Diversity enhances creativity and makes us better. Bringing together people of different backgrounds fosters ideas or perspectives that others may not have considered, adding value to the deal-making process.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
My first M&A deal at Holland & Knight. It was my first acquisition in the government services space, and also my first time working with Bill Mutryn, who would become my mentor.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Focus on strong technical expertise plus building strong, supportive relationships with others. You never know where your next referral will come from.
