What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
Deal-making allows me to use my creativity, “can-do” approach, perseverance and ability to read others to help people make dreams into reality. With my life/health sciences focus, I help client’s advance technologies that improve and save lives.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Individuals forming a diverse team apply their different life experiences, perspectives and approaches to advance the client’s interests. Not only is diversity the right thing to do, it is good business and improves results.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
Represented a biotech company in making its (not yet approved) drug available to a hospital on a “compassionate use” basis for near-death patients awaiting last chance at extending their lives.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Show that you care. Celebrating your client’s successes and lamenting their challenges as if they were your own, while still providing sound, measured advice, will engender trust and loyalty.
