Erin Murphy
Managing Director
Wynnchurch Capital
What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I started as a collateral auditor for GE Capital’s commercial lending business. After advancing to an underwriting role in GE’s Sponsor Finance Group, I was hooked, and later transitioned to private equity.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Diversity ensures different perspectives are considered when evaluating an investment opportunity.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
Heartland. Addressing conflicting priorities of several constituents was extremely challenging. Wynnchurch was left to identify solutions that worked for everyone.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Be true to yourself. Find a balance that works for you and allows you to define success your way.
