What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
My career in M&A has been one of evolution rather than ‘intelligent design’. I was randomly staffed on an integration project during my early days as a consultant and was energized by how dynamic and transformative M&A can be to companies and professionals alike. I haven’t looked back since.
Memorable deal I worked on... why?
The carve-out of Eastdil Secured from Wells Fargo. It was my first chance to lead a major deal at FTI and work with an incredible set of teammates and clients.
Most enjoy about my career...
The opportunity to work with and learn from some of the brightest minds and leaders in business while delivering great work alongside a team that inspires me each day.
Profile:

Matt is a member of FTI’s Transactions practice and specializes in the pre-sign, sign-to-close, and post-close phases of the merger integration and carve-out lifecycle. He has experience in leading company initiatives, transactions and business transformation efforts. His industry experience spans across technology and media, financial services, healthcare, power and renewables, consumer retail, and other industrial sectors. He works closely with private equity sponsors, C-Suite leadership teams, M&A counsel, investment bankers, and mission critical vendors and service providers throughout his engagements to drive transparency, insights, and world-class execution across all channels and levels of the transaction.

Education: B.A., Finance, University of Notre Dame.
