What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
My late father built his company from the ground up. The company was an integral part of my childhood and our family. During the sale, the most important aspect of the agreement was that his employees were retained. His work and passion for people inspired me to help advise businesses.
Memorable deal I worked on... why?
Sell-side deal for an online-proctoring Company in 2020. It was a complex transaction due to the recent high-growth driven from COVID-19 and recent acquisition of a competitor.
Most enjoy about my career...
Being a trusted advisor and partner. Providing tangible impactful value (e.g., increasing purchase price, technical negotiation assistance). Lastly, working with brilliant business-minded leaders across management and advisor teams.
Drew has executed financial diligence on deals totaling more than $1B of cumulative enterprise value and has guided management teams through some of the most impactful transactions in their careers and pivotal for their organizations. In addition to his general client assignments, Drew has been tasked with coordinating offshore services for the Transaction Advisory group and leads various trainings for the department.
Education: BS in Accounting from North Carolina State University and MS in Accounting from University of Virginia.
