What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
Alyssa loves the intensity and impact of restructuring. As a restructuring and financial advisor, she walks into difficult situations often uncharted by her clients. She rapidly works to achieve alignment amongst stakeholders and pave a path forward. She is passionate about and talented at creating value for companies.
Memorable deal I worked on... why?
The restructuring and sale of Teligent, a $50 million public pharmaceutical company. Alyssa, Interim CFO, worked alongside the CRO to lead and deliver $90 million of value to new buyers.
Most enjoy about my career...
Working in the distressed industry, I love being challenged to develop creative strategies that generate tangible value for company employees through job retention and simultaneously maximizing value for key stakeholders.
Profile:
Alyssa provides financial, operational, and strategic advice to underperforming and distressed companies. Her professional experience includes expertise in liquidity management, contingency planning, financial modeling, developing, and implementing operational and financial performance improvement initiatives and in-court and out-of-court restructurings. She has successfully completed over 150 engagements in her career. Prior to joining Portage Point, Alyssa was in the Transaction Advisory Group at Alvarez & Marsal.
Education: Masters in Accounting and a Minor in Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois.
