Julie Sandoval
Senior Managing Director
Generational Equity
What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I have been intrigued with mergers and acquisitions since graduate school for my MBA. I applied for an opportunity with an M&A firm as an associate and I was lucky enough to transition to the deal-maker team after a few years.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
Diversity adds value in the deal-making process by bringing different perspectives and experiences, which benefits each unique transaction.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
I represented a Nebraska seed company and went to a buyer’s visit there in the middle of a snow storm, with temperatures dipping to 15 degrees below zero. It took me a day to get there, then two days to get home after my two-hour meeting. It was a great deal and well worth the snowy ordeal.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
My advice for achieving success in the industry is to listen, communicate well with all parties and be as transparent as possible.
