What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
Being an Investment Banker is the perfect job for me. I grew up hearing about deals from my dad, who manages investments for insurance companies. This led me to pursue an education and work experience that created the foundation for my career as a deal-maker.
Memorable deal I worked on... why?
Tribeca Oven, a family-owned company that makes artisan bread at an industrial scale. We always left meetings with a bag of delicious, freshly baked artisan bread.
Most enjoy about my career...
I most enjoy the people. One client would often say, “We hire kindhearted people who are really good at what they do.” The same can be said about Carl Marks.

Profile:

Michael directs a team of M&A professionals focused on pre-institutional, middle-market companies. Typically, he works with clients on the sell-side, identifying their ideal partner as they think about liquidity and/or succession. He has deep experience conducting thorough diligence and identifying opportunities for value creation.

Education: B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University and M.B.A from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
