What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I have been attracted to the lending industry given the potential to learn about a broad spectrum of businesses, industries and investment products, which has been important to developing expertise as a lending professional in underwriting, portfolio management and managing select troubled transactions throughout my career.
Tell us about your experience and what was different during the Covid-19?
My career has been greatly influenced by mentors and teammates. During COVID, we operated efficiently to execute at record volumes while maintaining high standards, but I had to dedicate time to ensure I sustained personal connections with my colleagues to maintain the culture that differentiates Churchill from other firms.
Recent most memorable deal I worked on....
The Sciens transaction, as it showcases Churchill’s growth (largest transaction to date), Churchill’s role as a leading market player, and my own execution capabilities under tight timelines.
Profile:
Jill joined Churchill Asset Management in 2018 and currently serves as a Principal in the underwriting and portfolio management group with over 6 years of experience in middle market leveraged finance. Previously, she served as an AVP with Antares Capital on the underwriting and credit advisory teams. Prior to Antares Capital, Jill completed the GE Capital Investment Analyst program.
