Ben Hartman
Senior Vice President
UHY Corporate Finance
What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I was working as an analyst in Huntington Bank’s leveraged finance group. Through that experience and networking with colleagues, I wanted to expand my experiences in the deal-making industry as an investment banker. I wanted to be a part of a team supporting clients and their liquidity objectives.
Tell us about your experience and what was different during the Covid-19?
We were working through a few active deals when COVID-19 began. We worked with our clients to help buyers and lenders get through the additional diligence required. We ultimately maintained our client's objectives and were able to close two deals in April and May 2020 in the height of COVID-19.
Recent most memorable deal I worked on....
Sale of Kennedy Industries to Vessco Holding, a portfolio company of O2 Investment Partners. Due to the cultural alignment, growth synergies, and valuation that significantly exceeded the shareholders' expectations.
