Edward has almost 30 years of restructuring experience. He has represented numerous constituencies in insolvency and restructuring matters including debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and investors and has held multiple management and advisory roles in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. In addition to his advisory work with distressed companies, he served in numerous fiduciary roles including Chief Restructuring Officer, post-confirmation trustee, Chapter 11 trustee, elected Chapter 7 trustee, and receiver in multiple federal jurisdictions, Pennsylvania and the Delaware Chancery Court.

Most enjoy... My fellow professionals! The people in our industry are some of the smartest and most interesting you will find anywhere. Whether they are working with you, or opposite you. Even when we’re not on a deal, they are great people to spend time with. Many of my closest relationships are will fellow industry professionals.

Ron has more than 25 years of restructuring experience and a talent for managing complex problems while navigating the competing interests of stakeholders. He is one of the most experienced ‘middle market’ healthcare bankruptcy and restructuring professionals in the country. Ron has deep expertise and strong record of achievement across the healthcare, higher and education and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to forming Gibbins Advisors, Ron was a Managing Director at each of Healthcare Management Partners and Alvarez & Marsal.

Mike has 20+ years of leadership experience spanning a variety of industries. Mike specializes in providing streamlined solutions to complex problems. Whether it is advising his clients, running companies or sitting on Boards of financially challenged companies, Mike’s experience and vast network allows for getting to a solution in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

What factors has led to your success... Remaining calm cool and collective since there can be so much emotion involved in our work and people are dealing with very difficult times, professionally and personally. My clients always tell me that my attitude provides them a feeling of “it’s going to be OK”. We are smart enough and patient enough to get a deal done, but it is critical to remember that we are all human and that mental health is a real thing!
