JAVIER PALACIOS RUANO

Javier specializes in insolvency disputes and commercial litigation. He has been practicing law for approximately 17 years and his practice has focused primarily on disputes arising from or related to situations of insolvency. Throughout his career, he has represented companies and individuals, as creditors, debtors or parties in interest, in several insolvency proceedings in Mexico and related commercial disputes. His clients have included Mexican and foreign individuals and corporations. Prior to establishing his own firm in 2020, he worked from 2010 to 2020 at the firm López Melih y Estrada, S.C.

Javier and the entire deal team in restructuring of Naviera Naranja won the "Cross Border Turnaround of the Year" high honors presented at the 16th Turnaround Atlas Awards Gala, along with winning the “Outstanding Global Turnaround Consulting Firm” award.


JAMES SAVIN

James represents official and informal committees of creditors (secured and unsecured), debtors, debtor in possession lenders and acquirers of businesses and assets in large, complex chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings. His restructuring matters encompass a wide variety of industries and often involve multijurisdictional and cross-border issues.


DAMIAN S. SCHAIBLE

Damian represents debtors, creditors, banks, hedge funds, asset purchasers and other strategic parties in connection with prepackaged and traditional bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, DIP and exit financings, bankruptcy litigation, section 363 sales and liability management transactions.


DEBRA McELLIGOTT SINCLAIR

Debra represents debtors, lenders, official committees of unsecured creditors, and ad hoc creditor groups comprised of hedge funds, financial institutions and other sophisticated investors in distressed situations. She advises clients on all aspects of complex chapter 11 cases and has experience with distressed acquisitions, bankruptcy litigation, cross-border matters and out-of-court restructurings.

Factors most influenced her success... I have advised a variety of clients in unusually complex situations, which has given me a broad knowledge base. I am a versatile practitioner: I am able to build consensus among parties with divergent interests but am equally effective as an advocate and litigator when a deal is not possible.

PAUL STEVEN SINGERMAN

Paul has been significantly involved in some of the highest-profile and most significant restructuring matters in Florida for over three decades. His extraordinary attentiveness to and empathy for clients have helped him earn a reputation as one of the most effective restructuring lawyers in the state of Florida.


FREDRIC SOSNICK

Fred is also a member of the firm’s Executive Group. He focuses on advising clients in connection with large and complex domestic and international out-of-court restructurings and U.S. Chapter 11 cases.
