Highly competitive process begins with evaluating firms and any “Turnaround Atlas Awards” winning transactions closed during the 2022/23 year. Selection is then narrowed to a professional from the firm based on their experience, differentiated expertise, among additional attributes. JAY KRASOFF

Jay’s experience as CFO, CPA, and President have led him to success in challenging financial client engagements. With Chiron’s international growth, he now has clients that span from Houston to Paris to Zurich and continues to expand the business. His engagements for financial restructurings have included representation of debtors, distressed bondholders, buyers of distressed debt, lenders to distressed debtors, secured creditors and Official and Ad Hoc Committees. Prior to joining Chiron Financial Group, Mr. Krasoff was Chief Financial Officer of Texas Gypsum Industries, Inc.

Jay and the Chiron team won the “Turnaround” of the year for advising Edward Marc Brands in its restructuring and sale to Promise Confections, a portfolio company within Promise Holdings during the 16th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards Gala.


MATTHEW LAPISH

Matthew Lapish is a Managing Director at Ankura based in New York. He is an adept investment banker with over a decade of experience working in restructuring and M&A. While a generalist, he has deep experience in the automotive, chemical, industrial services, and TMT industries. His experience includes stints at Bank of America, BDO Capital, and Accordion. He has also worked on the buy-side as a corporate development executive.

What factors has led to your success... By surrounding myself with numerous mentors and colleagues whose own skills exceed those of my own, I have been able to improve immeasurably. Without them I wouldn’t be able to receive this honor.

JAMIE LISAC

Jamie has more than 20 years of experience in financial restructuring and special situations investment banking, Jamie serves as. He has advised large cap and middle-market companies, creditors and other stakeholders in numerous transactions including Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, distressed buy- and sell-side M&A, balance sheet restructurings, DIP and exit financings, Sec. 363 asset sales and capital raises.


PERRY MANDARINO

Perry has almost 30 years of experience in the retail, healthcare, media, real estate, energy business services and communications sectors. He is recognized as an industry leader and trusted advisor, lending his expertise to stakeholders’ companies, boards of directors, creditors and investors. He has testified and been qualified as an expert in matters related to financial viability, valuation, general reorganization matters and financing in bankruptcy and state courts. Prior to B. Riley, Mr. Mandarino was Partner and Practice Leader of PwC's U.S. Business Recovery Services.

Perry was awarded the highest honor as a recipient of the “Restructuring Leader” accolade presented during the 16th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards Gala.

ERIC R. MENDELSOHN

Eric has over 23 years of experience in a wide range of corporate finance activities including out-of-court and in-court restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings. Eric has represented companies or stakeholders in over 50 restructuring transactions encompassing over $150 billion of obligations, including over 10 assignments in the automotive industry. Previously, Eric served as a Managing Director and a founding member of Lazard’s Restructuring Group.


MARCELO MESSER

Marcelo has over 25 years of sector experience. Prior to joining Rothschild & Co in 2008, Marcelo was a Managing Director at Miller Mathis & Co. Marcelo holds a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Yale University, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.


RICHARD MORGNER

Rich has executed advisory transactions, including restructurings and reorganizations, exchange offers, distressed sales, mergers and acquisitions, exclusive sales, management and leveraged buyouts. He has been qualified as a valuation expert in federal court and chairs the Jefferies Fairness / Valuation Committee and member of Advisory New Business Review Committee. Prior to joining Jefferies, Rich served as a managing director and co-head of M&A at Miller Buckfire & Co.

Rich and team at Jefferies won multiple awards including - Benefytt Technologies, won the “Chapter 11 Restructuring”; Rockley Photonics Pre-Pack Chapter 11 restructuring won the “Cross Border Turnaround”, and Unconditional Love (Hello Bello) sale to Hildred Capital won the “Consumer Restructuring” of the year honors presented during the 16th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards Gala.

GEOFFREY RICHARDS

Geoff has more than 20 years of transaction experience in an extensive range of financing, restructuring and mergers and acquisitions engagements. He has advised public and private companies, private equity sponsors and other institutional investors on a variety of credit solutions. Mr. Richards was recipient of “Restructuring Investment Banker” accolade at the Turnaround Atlas Awards.


DERRON SLONECKER

Derron has over thirty years of experience working on a broad range of advisory assignments across a number of industry sectors. Prior to joining Ducera as a founding member, Mr. Slonecker was a Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners, U.S. Head of its Restructuring Practice, and Co-Chair of its Fairness Opinion Committee. Previously, he worked at Houlihan Lokey where he was a member of its Operating Committee.


TODD R. SNYDER

Todd was Chief Executive Officer of TRS Advisors acquired by Piper Sandler. Prior to founding TRS Advisors, he served as Executive Vice Chairman and Co-Chair of the North American Debt Advisory and Restructuring Group of Rothschild & Co. Todd has been an advisor to companies in complex restructurings and reorganizations for 34 years. Todd was recipient of the “Global Restructuring Leader” in investment bank accolade at the Turnaround Atlas Awards for his role advising the US Treasury in the rescue of the American auto industry.

Values about his work... If we are to have a continuing form of free market enterprise and the type of civil society that can support it, we must have, or at least pursue, a broad consensus around what happens when risk capital fails to achieve its goals. Reorg and restructuring are daily pursuit of that goal.
