Andrew N. Rosenberg

Andy primarily practices in the areas of corporate restructuring and bankruptcy with additional focus in representing lenders in providing financing to highly leveraged companies. He has been involved in numerous complex, high-stakes restructurings, including advising creditors in the restructurings of Digicel Group, Avaya, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Oro Negro, Puerto Rico, and GNC Holdings, among others.


Waël Rostom

Waël, a highly accomplished lawyer, has advised on numerous high-profile Canadian, US and European restructuring proceedings. He advises on complex corporate reorganizations as well as workouts, distressed M&A transactions, receiverships, and bankruptcies. Waël has acted for publicly traded companies, directors and officers, shareholders, banks, financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity funds, asset-based lenders, customers, and suppliers in domestic and cross-border proceedings.


Edward O. Sassower

Edward focuses on representing debtors, creditors and distressed or special situation investors in bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings and acquisitions. He is also an Adjunct Full Professor of Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he teaches the “Corporate Restructuring” course every Fall. Over the years, he has advised on several of Turnaround Atlas Awards winning transactions.


Fredric Sosnick

Fred is also a Global Operations Partner, as well as a member of the firm’s Executive Group. He focuses on advising clients in connection with large and complex domestic and international out-of-court restructurings and U.S. Chapter 11 cases. Fred represents debtors, official creditors’ committees, lender groups, DIP lenders, creditors, and acquirers of assets. His clients include Bank of America, Barclays, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank, among others.


Richard Tett

Richard has more than 25 years of restructuring experience, having worked extensively on ‘in court’ and ‘out of court’ restructurings/refinancings, intercreditor agreement disputes, formal insolvency appointments, high-yield bond and CMBS bond restructurings, distressed M&A, English schemes of arrangement and the new restructuring plans, US Chapter 11s, 15s and s363 sales, pension deficits, insurance workouts, telecoms, and insolvency aspects of structured finance. Richard has particular cross border restructuring experience involving the UK, Europe, the US and across the globe.


Vincent Vroom

Vincent specializes in restructuring and insolvency matters. He handles a range of issues in restructuring cases whether they arise within the courtroom or outside. Vincent often works on complex matters in international settings and has worked on groundbreaking cases where Dutch entities were involved in US chapter 11 proceedings, schemes of arrangement and other foreign restructuring and insolvency proceedings (including Brazilian RJ proceedings). His clients include investors, debtors and financial institutions.


Timothy W. Walsh

Tim has represented debtors in possession, creditors’ committees, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, bondholders, insurance companies, US and non-US lenders, and corporate clients in a broad range of bankruptcy and commercial real estate matters. He regularly represents and advises the board of directors on restructuring issues. He is an experienced bankruptcy litigator and performs detailed investigations into insider transactions, fraudulent conveyances, and preference transactions. Tim also represents parties in out-of-court workouts and purchases of distressed debt and distressed assets.

What factor has most led to your success in the restructuring industry... Commitment to understanding our client’s objectives and then keeping that objective as a goal post – in a word, perseverance. Having the legal depth to design a legal approach with creative yet pragmatic solutions. I also have the honor of leading a team of brilliant attorneys who make up the global restructuring practice at Winston.

What do you most enjoy about your career... Serving as a trusted advisor to executives, who often have spent their careers building a company and have much to gain (or lose) at this juncture of the corporate cycle and being able to help them achieve amazingly successful resolutions of complex legal issues.


Jeffrey R. Waxman

Jeff represents debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, official committees of equity holders, secured creditors, plan administrators, liquidating trustees, purchasers of assets, and a wide variety of creditor constituencies and interested parties in Chapter 11 cases. Jeff also represents Chapter 7 trustees, plaintiffs, and defendants in bankruptcy-related preference and fraudulent transfer litigation. Jeff also co-chairs Morris James’ Small Businesses and Start-Ups Group which provides a full range of legal services to assist small business owners to organize and transition their ideas to full-fledged businesses.

What do you most enjoy about your career... Bankruptcy attorneys are among the last pure generalists. On any given day, a bankruptcy attorney may be working on a loan document, litigation, employee issues, lease issues, a sale agreement, a plan, or a state law issue. So as a bankruptcy practitioner, every day brings its own unique challenges and puzzles about how best to get your client what it wants in a zero-sum game environment.


Iain White

Iain is a versatile lawyer with broad experience of domestic and cross-border restructurings and formal insolvencies. He represents both on the creditor-side (for banks, funds and other lending institutions) and on the debtor-side (for borrowers, issuers and private equity sponsors) as well as advising insolvency officeholders. In recent years Iain has advised clients across a few different jurisdictions and sectors, including commodities, energy, media, manufacturing, data services and real estate.


Eric R. Wilson

Eric focuses on protecting and enforcing creditors’ rights in the country’s largest bankruptcy cases. In his twenty-year tenure, he has successfully resolved high-stakes matters involving billions of dollars in out-of-court restructurings and chapter 11 reorganizations. His pragmatic approach has earned him a national reputation as a trusted advisor to virtually every player in the distressed arena. Eric is committed to offering his clients practical solutions to their most difficult challenges as efficiently as possible.
