What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I love the fast-paced and team-oriented nature of M&A. We are all working towards the same end goal, which cultivates a sense of camaraderie, even (to a certain extent) among opposing parties. The results are also tangible and definitive. There is nothing better than helping a client bring their deal to a successful close and seeing it positively impact the businesses and the teams.
Memorable deal I worked on... why?
Databricks’ recent purchase of MosaicML. The agreement, signed in record pace, advances Databricks’ goal of democratizing A.I. We are entering a new frontier in A.I., and it is exciting to work with the innovators that are driving the industry forward.
Most enjoy about my career...
I work with amazing people. My clients are genuinely trying to make a positive impact on the world, whether that’s developing a new drug to save lives or pioneer cutting-edge software. My Fenwick team is also fantastic. They are not just colleagues, they are also close friends, and that makes coming to work each day incredibly fulfilling and fun.
