What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
I enjoy the constant source of new challenges I face every day in this industry when trying to close deals. Having the opportunity to do so in Delaware, one of the busiest and most innovative states for corporate jurisprudence, makes the experience just that much better.
Tell us about your experience and what was different during the Covid-19?
The beginning of the pandemic was the busiest time in my career, and the courts moving to a virtual model was certainly the biggest change. This impacted both the logistics of how hearings were held, as well as the substantive law that was created to deal with the unique circumstances.
Recent most memorable deal I worked on....
As debtors’ counsel, the successful reorganizations of American Blue Ribbon Holdings, LLC (a dining chain which was one of the very few restaurant reorganizations to be achieved at the time).

For more than twelve years, Evan has served as lead counsel to clients spanning the breadth of the corporate restructuring spectrum, including debtors, asset purchasers, insurers, official committees, vendors, and litigants in bankruptcy courts across the country.
