What led you to a career in the deal-making industry?
The opportunity to launch a new private equity platform within a Fortune 100 company. I leveraged my strengths in communication to connect with sponsors and drive dealflow to build a mandate.
How does diversity add value in the deal-making process?
My best deals were the product of thorough diligence. Only genuine representation can uncover all viewpoints; my perspective as a woman and minority adds value at every stage of the deal process.
The most memorable deal I worked on....
A transaction where I simultaneously diligenced a new fund relationship alongside an equity platform. The deal generated a 7.4x return- the highest MOC in our program to date.
Advice for achieving success in the industry....
Hustle and persevere: Advocate for yourself constantly and focus on your strengths, continuously develop your natural skills that set you apart from your peers.
