September 16, 2013: St. Louis-based diversified food company, Post Holdings has agreed to buy Dakota Growers Pasta Company from Viterra, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Glencore Xstrata plc for $370 million in cash. Dakota Growers located in Carrington, North Dakota is maker of pasta products for the private label retail and ingredient channels. The Dakota Growers business will be managed independently by its existing management. Separately, earlier this month Post completed its previously announced acquisition of Premier Nutrition Corporation, the branded food and beverage company for $180 million.
